No. You’ll learn everything you need to know in class, and you can choose a class that matches your skill and comfort level.
Yes, they can. Both women and men train and compete in Muay Thai Kickboxing.
No, that’s not a requirement. Very few Muay Thai Kickboxing students actually choose to compete. However, you will develop the skills necessary if you ever choose to compete for yourself. No student is forced to “fight” or spar in our classes. You decide how far and to what level you want to take your training.
Martial arts classes combine a calorie-burning cardiovascular workout with muscle toning. That’s the ideal combination for people who want to lose weight since building muscle also increases the metabolism.
There is always some risk of being injured when training in any sport, but if you study with a qualified instructor and follow safety precautions, it is unlikely that you’ll be seriously injured. Our programs are tailored for the individual so any technique, exercise, or drill can be modified or exchanged for another to meet your specific needs, level of ability, and injuries.

I’m a 28 year-old woman whose only athletic exposure was organized sports in high school. It felt like I had missed my opportunity to try out martial arts. But in January of this year, I found Fusion Martial Arts’ adult Muay Thai Kickboxing class, a place where I could learn without being thrown into the ring right away. Their belt system allows students to measure their progress and develop a timeline to reach their goals.
It wasn’t easy; learning a new physical skill not as a kid but as a 28-year-old woman. Many of the students were younger or more experienced. I was nervous, worried that I looked stupid or slowed everyone down.
To my relief, the instructors were welcoming and patient. I came back over and over until the moves started to feel more natural, the concepts clicking into place. I was surprised to find that while I was building these skills, I was enjoying myself. Fusion offers more than just a class; it offers a community of like-minded people that have made my journey more special than I could have imagined.
A few weeks ago, I earned my gray belt, the third belt you can earn in the adult class. I’m by no means a master yet, but I am stronger and more knowledgeable. Most importantly, I’m empowered and have more confidence in my ability to defend myself if the situation ever occurred.
I realized it’s never too early or too late to learn a new skill and joining Fusion has been one of the best decisions I’ve made!

I started 7 months ago and the amount of knowledge was such a rapid growth for me. The technical breakdown is very effective and explained in a way that a beginner can easily grasp. The environment is not overwhelming, it is very welcoming and you are able to train at your own pace.
I joined back in November and was welcomed in like family. This place has not only helped me physically but also my mental health has improved immensely. I definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get out and try new things!
I Started taking Muay Thai classes at Fusion in December 2022 and I have nothing but good things to say. It’s a great workout, and as an near 30 year old man who has absolutely no martial arts experience and little experience in organized sports I was able to pick it up quickly and really enjoy myself thanks to the kind and knowledgeable instruction. There is also a great community there everyone helps each other out and I have made a few friends already. I can only go 2 nights a week due to my schedule, but if I could I would be there Monday through Thursday nights. If you are thinking about getting into martial arts or on the fence about it I would highly suggest checking out Fusion and talking to Greg or Jess!
I like attending Kickboxing #1 the comfortable non judgemental atmosphere.
#2 The people i like the people and the instructors. Everyone is so supportive and we just have amazing fun sweating and all.
#3 Greg pushes you to be successful, but he doesn’t push you past your limits.
#4 I like that Greg listens to you about any concerns and if you can’t perform the specific workouts he’ll MODIFY the workout for you.
#5 Last but not least it works. Omg you leave feeling sore, but amazing. The workouts taught help you to get a full body workout and you build muscle.

It is a fun experience. We get a good workout but they make it fun at the same time. If there is something i cannot do i am not pushed to do it, they will help with another alternative to the exercise. The place is clean and Very comfortable to workout in.
